Abundance of Pisces & Aries

“When we are courageous, we can do the unexpected and start to mold the world around a vision bigger than one produced by fear. Every inch of progress, every ounce of love, every truly meaningful action from here on out will happen through courage, not comfort.”

– Prentis Hemphill, from their book What it Takes to Heal

Yesterday morning, I listened to the latest episode of the Brown Sisters' Podcast, How to Survive the End of the World.

The title of this episode is The Sister Feud. Autumn and adrienne actually really get into a tense moment in their conversation AND they organically model how to slow things down, pause to explore what's underneath and reconnect with each other with more tenderness and openness.

It's such a powerful reminder that relationships can deepen through rupture and repair.

Astrologically, throughout their whole conversation, I kept thinking about the PISCES / ARIES energies we are utterly immersed in these days.

PISCES calls for us to:

  • connect with each other beyond differences

  • grow our experiences of interconnection and unity

  • root into empathy, compassion and our connection with Source

  • hold our ideals/visions for the future at the center

ARIES calls for:

  • our inner strength, fierceness and determination

  • our willingness to navigate charged, challenging territory

  • our "YES" to rise up and engage with courageous actions NOW, whether or not we feel ready

Here is an excerpt from Autumn and adrienne's conversation:

Autumn Brown: The time is now. It doesn’t matter if we’re ready. Because now we’re just in the situation that we’re in (referring to the rise of fascism)... We have the people we have (in our movements). And, then there’s everyone else who’s in the process of being activated from whatever worldview they were already sitting in…

We have to lose our obsession with the idea that people have to already be in our worldview or that we have to convince them of our worldview. It’s like, no, we actually just have to be able to grab onto each other knowing that we’re not actually seeing things the same way...

And, there's that whole thing that Rebecca Solnit’s book "Paradise Built in Hell" talks about - the way that societies actually function in the aftermath of disaster and how people just automatically do mutual aid… It’s our nature.

And, maybe one of the things we don’t trust about solidarity is that it WILL be there. You don't have to do anything, I mean, you can learn it, and it’s great to practice and study it. But, it’s actually just what will happen as things spiral out of control and collapse. It's what we do. We just have to be available and present for it.

adrienne maree brown: That’s the part of humanity that I love so much. And, that’s why I feel like I’m still rooting for us because this thing (caring for each other) happens under pressure.

An Abundance of Pisces and Aries

Astrologically, we are in an off-the-charts Pisces / Aries time period, unique to our lifetime, as numerous celestial bodies are shifting between these two signs, including the Sun today!

SPRING EQUINOX:

Spring Equinox in the Northern Hemisphere marks a time of rebirth as the Sun moves from the last sign of the zodiac (Pisces) into the first sign (Aries). Spring Equinox ushers in a new astrological year as the Sun begins a new cycle through the 12 signs of the zodiac.

MERCURY & VENUS:

Transiting Mercury (planet of perception, thoughts, ideas, communication) and Venus (planet of relationships, connection, personal values and creative expression) are both moving retrograde in Aries right now and will retrograde back into Pisces at the end of the month (Venus on March 27, Mercury on March 29).

Retrograde periods prolong a planet's time in a particular sign(s), giving us added time for reflection and reassessment of that sign's presence and expression in our lives. When a planet goes direct, we can put our new awareness into motion.

Mercury goes direct on April 7. Venus goes direct on April 12. On those dates, each will move direct in the sign of Pisces and then ingress into Aries a bit later (Mercury in Aries: April 15-May 10 and Venus in Aries April 30-June 5).

NEW MOON SOLAR ECLIPSE:

The upcoming New Moon Solar Eclipse on March 29 will be in Aries and will bring closure to the 2-week Eclipse Portal we've been in since the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse on March 13/14.

The Aries Eclipse on March 29 occurs with the North Node in Pisces, giving us another co-mingling of the Pisces/Aries energies. However, in this instance we have the wild card, accelerated eclipse frequencies in the mix!

An example of what this Aries New Moon could support is the seeding of brave and clear desires/actions informed by the Pisces North Node call for empathy, an understanding of the deeper reality of no separation (no us/them) and connection to an ideal or dream for what could be.

And, I will mention here that the karmic, evolutionary North Node shifted from Aries into Pisces in January 2025 and will remain in Pisces through July 2026. You can find more on the North Node in Pisces in my last newsletter.

NEPTUNE & SATURN:

The day after the eclipse, on March 30, slow-moving Neptune (planet of multi-dimensional reality, collective high aspirations/dreams, creativity, inspiration, subconscious, intuition and spiritual connection) moves from Pisces into Aries. Neptune stays in each sign for about 14 years. Neptune has not been in the sign of Aries since 1861-1875.

On May 24, Saturn (planet of linear time/space, structure, limits/boundaries, commitment, discipline, the process of manifestation, wisdom gained from life experience, maturity, accountability) also moves from Pisces into Aries.

Both Neptune and Saturn will be in Aries for a few months and then both will retrograde back into Pisces this Fall. In January 2026 (Neptune) and February 2026 (Saturn), will move solidly back into Aries.

Saturn will be in Aries until 2028 and Neptune until 2039.

The last time Saturn moved through Aries: 1996-1999. The time before that: 1967-1969. And, the time before that: 1937-1940. That means Saturn was in Pisces for the several years before each of those date ranges.

Lastly, Saturn and Neptune will conjoin exactly at 0 degrees Aries in February 2026...and will be dancing near each other before then. This is a very significant conjunction, which I will dive into in a future event/gathering online.

Please feel free too read on in my Aries / Pisces Newsletter.
